About fishing
Fly Fishing
The fishing method we always recommend is Fly Fishing catch and release. Thanks to the care of lakes and rivers year after year, there has been a significant improvement in the sizes and quantities of trout due to the awareness of most fishermen.
Guided Tours
The Rio Pico area has 23 lakes within 60 square kilometers, along with rivers and streams with excellent catches. We offer guided tours of these environments as an alternative or in case of adverse weather conditions.
Where you will go fishing
Territory
The Lodge is strategically located as there are 23 rivers, streams, and lakes within a 60 square meter area, of which we have access to all of them.
The fishing area in Rio Pico, located in the province of Chubut, Argentina, is known for its natural beauty and excellent conditions for sport fishing.
Rivers and Lakes: The Pico River basin includes the homonymous river and five famous lakes: Vinter, Guacho, Engaño, Upper Berta, and Lower Berta. These bodies of water are rich in populations of salmonids, brown trout, and rainbow trout.
Fly Fishing: The western area of the Pico River and the Nilson River are ideal for dry fly and nymph fly fishing, offering slow and fast currents with suitable beds for the production of stonefly, mayfly, and caddis hatches.
Biodiversity: In the lakes and rivers of the region, one can find large-sized mayfly and stonefly nymphs, caddis with small houses and free life, as well as a large number of small crustaceans, leeches, and soft-shell snails.
